Being a new parent was tougher than I originally thought. Is that the way you’re feeling? If so, try not to be too hard on yourself. I’m sure you’re doing a great job. Here’s some inspirational parent quotes to get you through the day… and night!
Think back to before you had any children. Do you remember forming opinions about parenting? It’s easy to do when you see kids misbehaving at a restaurant or store. I’m guilty of saying a few ‘my kid would never do that because they would be disciplined’. Sure enough, my child has been that one misbehaving in public and I’m the embarrassed Mom. It happens… so I think this quote is a good one!
I love this quote and it is so true. I look back on certain days and wonder how I ever got through them. For example:
When my daughter was just 3 months old my dog had a sudden back issue that caused him to lose all feeling in his back legs. I had to quickly put both of them in the car and drive to an emergency dog hospital to get him checked out. My husband was out of the country at the time so I was scared and alone. I was then told that I had to either drive 3 hours to get him emergency surgery or I had to put him down. My dog was my first baby and I would do anything for him so I quickly put them both back into the car and made the trip. My daughter and I wound up spending 2 nights in a hotel and going to Target to get basic necessities like deodorant, a toothbrush, change of clothes, etc. because I wasn’t prepared for this traumatic event. Luckily I had my daughter’s diaper bag with some of her necessities and I was breastfeeding at the time. That was such a long few days, but my dog walked and ran again after he healed from the surgery so it was worth it!
Other days are not to that extreme but I still wonder where I get the strength to get through them. We as Mother’s manage because we love our children and will do anything for them and that’s also where the fear comes in. We want to protect them from the world, but yet have to let them grow, explore, and become independent. I have a feeling my fears have just begun!
Children are indeed miracles, so innocent and full of life. They can grow up to be anything they want to in life
I’m learning as I go and am far from perfect! We strive to be the best parents we can because we love our children, but no one is perfect. Children don’t expect their parents to be perfect.
Some Mom’s are guilty of this too.
Uh huh. All of what that says.
We all hide our capes, but it’s there. We can multitask, do almost anything one-handed and carry numerous heavy objects at once (baby, car seat, diaper bag). We can handle any bodily fluid that’s thrown our way (okay so we may squirm a bit, but we are brave).
Woo Hoo! Party time!
Forget the bad and focus on the good. There is so much good. Babies are a miracle – a living part of us and are indeed wonderful.
Keep this in the back of your mind always and draw upon it when needed. Love this! We are smarter and stronger than we give ourselves credit for! Let’s try and stress less.
